Fees at Cygnets Day Nursery

Fees are paid monthly in advance on the first of the month by standing order or bank transfer, unless special arrangements have been authorised.
Late payments are subject to a 10% surcharge.
Registration Fee
There is a registration fee of £100 payable at the time of reserving a place for your child, which is non refundable. Applies to children having non funded hours.
There is a refundable deposit payable of; Part time £150 and Full time £300. There is no registration fee required for totally funded places. Please note, if having additional non funded hours on top of funded hours then registration and deposit rules apply.
The nursery is open 7am – 7pm.
The following fees will operate from 1 January 2026:

Fees are calculated: WEEKLY TOTAL x 51 weeks / 12 = equal monthly amount. Payable on the 1st of the month in advance or term-time calculating the weeks in the term.
- Sibling discount of 5% will be applied to your second child’s fees
- Discount of 10% for a full-time child
- Fees are paid in advance by 1st month, and the month amount due will be required within your child’s first full week
- Children who are attending Nursery for government funded hours, term-time or full day care are required to pay for all Additional Services, Snacks, Consumables, sundries or additional care.
- Additional hours at £15.50 per hour £11 half hour but this includes all Additional Services and Sundries.
- We do offer a limited number of free disadvantaged 2-year-old places. If you feel you met the criteria to apply for this, taking into account your current circumstances, please speak to the Manager
- A completely free place would need to be discussed prior to being offered to any family.
Monthly Fees are calculated by multiplying weekly fees by 51 and dividing by 12 to arrive at final calculation. Fees are payable for 51 weeks per year including bank holidays. The nursery closes for approximately 1 week at Christmas time.
Our Fees include:
- 5% discount given to the youngest sibling
- All meals, snacks and drinks, including breakfast, milk, morning snacks, 2 course lunch, afternoon snack and tea
- Bottled feeds are to be provided by the parent
Fees are reviewed annually in January.
Nappies, creams etc are to be provided by the child’s parent.
Meals are cooked on the premises by our own chef using fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh meat wherever possible ensuring a well balanced and nutritional diet for all the children. Special diets can be catered for where necessary.
Please note that one months notice is required to withdraw your child from the nursery or the deposit is forfeited.
Tax free childcare
Tax free childcare can save some parents 20% off their fees. Ask management for more details.
Tax Credits
Parents are able to claim Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit against the costs of childcare which helps considerably towards the fees. Please find further information on the following link; www.gov.uk/browse/benefits/tax-credits
Absences
We do not offer reductions or alternative days for any absences, this also applies to parental holidays.
Late Collection
It is the policy of Cygnets Day Nurseries Ltd. that if any parent is late collecting their child from the Nursery, we have no alternative but to charge a fee. This will be £20.00 for 5-10 minutes then £1.00 for every 5 minute thereafter.
