Welcome to Cygnets Day Nursery
Peace of mind for tall and small.
Cygnets Day Nursery is a purpose-built day nursery, that opened in January 2004. This means we are celebrating 20 years caring and educating children in our community. Some of them are even now sending their own children to us! It is designed to the highest standards for children aged 3 months to 5 years on a full or part time basis. It is situated in an idyllic wooded setting with a large, completely secure, enclosed garden for the children to play in during all weathers, including CCTV cameras around the property. We have a purpose built baby unit with an outdoor play area and garden.
At Cygnets Day Nursery we know that choosing a nursery can be an overwhelming task. It will be one of the most important decisions you’ll make, because the early years of childcare are critical to your child’s long-term development. At Cygnets you and your child will receive the personal attention that we believe is necessary to enhance a trusting relationship.

We provide stimulating environments that encourage children to learn, play and explore, ensuring that the nursery is a positive place to be. We would like each day to be a memorable one.
Cygnets work with Sports4Kids to offer an Early Years programme beginning at 16 months based on a child centric development pathway that focuses on 3 key areas: Locomotor skills, Stability and object control. Children learn through imaginative exercise, using storytelling and play to inspire fitness, health and physical development, helping to build confidence in every child’s physical development.
The children go on Forest school outings to a local nature reserve.
French lessons, cookery, music and movement are a few of the other extra activities that we provide.
