Fees at Cygnets Day Nursery
Fees are paid monthly in advance on the first of the month by standing order or bank transfer, unless special arrangements have been authorised.
There is a registration fee of £50 payable at the time of reserving a place for your child, which is non refundable. Applies to children having non funded hours.
The nursery is open 7am – 7pm, core hours are as follows;
Full day £63 (8am - 6pm)
Half day £34 (8am - 1pm) (1pm - 6pm)
Per week £300 (Monday - Friday)
A discount is available for children attending full time, please enquire for further details.
There is also a deposit payable of; Part time £100 and Full time £200. The deposit is deducted from the last months fees if they are paid up to date.
Extended hours are charged at £7 per hour. Term time fees available for our annex.
Monthly Fees are calculated by multiplying weekly fees by 51 and dividing by 12 to arrive at final calculation. Fees are payable for 51 weeks per year including bank holidays. The nursery closes for approximately 1 week at Christmas time.
We offer the 38 weeks of EYE, for 3, 4, year olds and eligible 2 year olds subject to availability, 570 hours per year or stretched over 51 weeks per year. Please enquire with the nursery management for further details. Please note fees are payable on the 1st of every month in advance and it is the parents responsibility to ensure any voucher payments are made with the voucher company in time for this date.
Late payments are subject to a 10% surcharge.
Our Fees include:
- 10% discount given to the youngest sibling
- All meals, snacks and drinks, including breakfast, milk, juices, morning snacks,
2 course lunch, afternoon snack and tea
- Bottled feeds are to be provided by the parent
- Daily written progress diaries for all children
Fees are reviewed annually in January.
Nappies, creams etc are to be provided by the child’s parent.
Meals are cooked on the premises by our own chef using fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh meat wherever possible ensuring a well balanced and nutritional diet for all the children. Special diets can be catered for where necessary.
Term time nursery education is also available at Martinique House, our separate nursery pre-school which offers the free 15 hours per week funding for 3 year olds and now also the 2 year old funding for children who meet the required criteria.
Please note that one months notice is required to withdraw your child from the nursery or the deposit is forfeited.
We are registered with many companies that provide childcare vouchers as an alternative way to pay part of your fees. Please ask at the nursery for more information.
Parents are able to claim Working Tax Credit or Child Tax Credit against the costs of childcare which helps considerably towards the fees. Please find further information on the following link; www.gov.uk/browse/benefits/tax-credits
Nursery Education Grant
Cygnets Day Nurseries Ltd. are able to claim for the Educational Grant for all children over 3 years old, the term after their 3rd birthday and 2 year olds who meet the required criteria. This is for 11 hours per week over the year (51 weeks).
We do not offer reductions or alternative days for any absences, this also applies to parental holidays.
It is the policy of Cygnets Day Nurseries Ltd. that if any parent is late collecting their child from the Nursery, we have no alternative but to charge a fee. This will be £10.00 for 5-10 minutes then £1.00 for every 5 minute thereafter.
