Our Kingfishers room had a very interesting visit to the library as part of stimulating the love of books. We showed them how to care for the books too and respect them.
The classic favourites were all there, including nursery rhymes, the Hungry Caterpillar, and many others.
It was fascinating to watch the children explore books they hadn’t seen before, encourage them to read some words, and ask questions about what they saw.
Encouraging reading as early as possible in a child’s life will help them with their language and communication as they get older.
