On 7 February we are celebrating Cygnets 20th anniversary! We will be dressing up as our favourite book character to celebrate 20 years of Cygnets (where has the time gone?!) It will be a day of fun and laughter, activities and games throughout the day.
This month the children will be learning about hedgehogs with lots of crafting, exploration of habitats and baking. There will also be some hedgehog themed stories and tuff trays.
We will be discussing Charles Dickens who became one of the most influential people of the 19th Century. As Charles Dickens once appeared on the £10 note we will be creating our own portraits on our own nursery currency. As Charles Dickens was known to be a Theatre enthusiast so we will be exploring different genres of music.
For National Nesting Box week we will continue looking after our feathered friends by putting up some nesting boxes and monitoring them throughout the spring. We will also continue with our bird spotting.
