At the end of July, we said farewell to all our term time pre-schoolers, who will go off to school in September. To be followed by our full-time pre-schoolers, who will slowly leave us throughout August, into September. A big thank you to all the families who have supported us throughout the years you have been with us!
August is a month filled with animal themed days, such as Cat Day, Lion Day, Elephant Day, Lizard Day, Bat Day, and Dog Day. We have decided to have a Farm/Jungle themed month so we can explore so many wonderful animals fully and learn as much as we can! There will be so much craft, dressing up and natural exploring!
In particular we will be celebrating International Owl Day by learning all about the different types of Owls and their characteristics. We will be making our own junk modelling owls and reading “Owl Babies”.
We will be making Sea Serpents out of playdough and taking part in different lion themed activities, including making our own lion masks. We will also be learning lion songs and be learning all about how these beautiful creatures live in the wild.
