We have had lots of fun this week celebrating World Book Day! The children and staff dressed as book characters and brought in their favourite books to discuss with their friends.
Other events that we will be marking in March with craft and creative activities include St Patrick’s Day, the Holi Festival, Mothers’ Day and Red Nose Day for which we will be all wearing red and asking for donations to the cause.
The children have been constructing hedgehog houses from natural resources collected from the garden, making their own birdfeeders, and watching the birds through their binoculars. The children have loved digging for worms. With spring in the air this month, we will continue to investigate the seasons.
In the weeks to come we will be growing caterpillars and watching them transition into butterflies in turn encouraging care and concern for living things.
